New 2009 Arima "Fish On" series

We know that folks are worried about the economy and it's hurting us a lot as well. It's not an ideal time for many folks to purchase new boats but we have all of our in-stock boats discounted to dealer cost for those that can take advantage of the current conditions (it won't make us any money but it will reduce our monthly interest expenses which will help). Also, for those folks considering a Rosborough boat from Canada the current exchange rate is very favorable to the U.S. dollar which essentially results in a substantial discount on the boats.

We still could use some more service work (including boat upgrades, electronics installation, accessory installation, etc) to help us get through this period. It's nice to have new boat sales but service is really the backbone of our business.

In 1979 when Arima first introduced the Sea Hunter 15 gas prices were at an all time high and the economy was tight; much as it is today. The Sea Hunter was designed to use smaller engines (back then a Johnson 35) and be towed with smaller trucks and cars. The Sea Hunter can be pulled by every small truck on the road today and almost every mini-van and small SUV.

Given the state of things in the boat business today Arima is going back to basics by introducing the "Fish On" series of 5 of their most popular boat models which include the:

Sea Hunter 15

Sea Sprinter 15 (same as the Sea Hunter with an open bow)

Sea Chaser 16

Sea Chaser 17

Sea Pacer 17 (same as the Sea Chaser with an open bow)

No compromise has been made in the construction of the boats; it's the same fine Arima hull that's always been. The new lower prices are the result of eliminating all the "extras" that have become "standards" over the years included in the base price. By eliminating these extras Arima is able to offer these boats at a substantial savings.

So, what are some of the changes?

Rack and Pinion steering versus BayStar hydraulic

Side curtains and rear drop curtain are options (the top is still standard)

Top bows are aluminum (as befits boats this size) as opposed to stainless

Wipers are optional

Built in fuel tanks on the 15 and 16 are optional (standard on the 17)

Removable fish tray under the cockpit floor is optional

Stainless bow rail on the 16 and 17 is optional (not available on the 15)

Outboard counter top is optional on the 16 and 17 (not available on the 15)
