The stadard layout in the Custom Wheelhouse model has a galley to port running athwartships against the aft cabin bulkhead and we left that in place.  The standard layout then has two pedestal seats (one for the helm and one for the passenger) next to the opening side doors.  The intention of this project was to end up with a very viable cruising boat.  We wanted all the amenities available in the Sedan Cruiser but with the very large cockpit the Custom Wheelhouse model offers for lots of outdoor living space.  To that end we designed an all new interior by replacing the pedestal seat with cabinetry.

We started out by removing the standard AC/DC Novakool refrigerator from the aft galley and opening up the space under the galley for storage.  The photo below is during the construction phase.  The wood trim opening to the left is the factory installed cabinet door.  The opening to the right is where the refrigerator was removed.  We then trimmed the opening out with wood to match the other door and installed a new custom built cabinet door to match the existing door.

Note:  Just above the cabinet opening to the left are the controls for the inverter (left) and the Wallas 30D furnace (right).
The refrigerator was moved to under the helm seat in a custom cabinet.  Outboard of the refrigerator is where the Wallas 30D furnace resides and you can see one of the heat outlet vents at the base of the fiberlass box/step ahead of the helm seat (it's the round black object).
This is the side of the helm base cabinet that houses the Wallas and the Novakool refrigerator.  Here we installed a custom cabinet for safely holding bottled beverages.  This complete section (including the cabinet) comes out with the removal of a few fasteners to allow access to the Wallas and wiring located under the side deck.
The passenger seat was mounted on an all new custom cabinet that houses the water heater on the outboard side and provides some storage space inboard behind the louvered door.

Ahead of the passenger seat base cabinet we installed a step/sotrage box.  There's actually quite a bit of storage there and the box makes for a comfortable seating position for the passenger.

Both the passenger and helm seat are high-quality Todd units and both swivel and slide fore and aft.

The vertical stainless tube just to the port side of the cabin entrance makes a great hand hold (as intended) and is the also the main wire chase to the overhead.
